if i get a motorcycle and crash it... and i break my neck...... i dont want to be a vegetable for the rest of my life

Breaking your neck does not turn you into a vegetable, it just makes it hard to use your body. It is head injuries that turn you into a vegetable. If you are not willing to risk the possibility, don't ride.
